I always wait uncomfortable amounts of time before doing anything in order to anomilize average time preference and throw off economic models. At a restaurant? Wait 2 hours after my food comes to start eating. Package delivered? I will wait at least 3 days to open it. You text me? Better believe I won’t be reading it for at least a week. I have negative time preference. I would rather die than do something right now. In a system that values efficiency, waiting is revolutionary.
