I think the first season was ultimately anti-climactic because people felt weird taking other contestants long term bf/gf’s. Especially after weeks of hanging out together and getting to know one another. To do so would honestly be a POS move, I think the contestants felt very self conscious about it.
Also people that were wanting marriage were pairing with people that were given ultimatums to begin with, so there wasn’t any real shot anyone was gonna really form a strong bond leading to marriage anyway.
I think for the second season, show runners would be wise to scratch the idea of couples choosing amongst other couples partners, and rather bring in singles that actually are actually ready for marriage and have that in mind.
Sort of a mix between ultimatum and love is blind. I think we’d find a lot more drama and higher stakes doing this. Or perhaps it’s a terrible idea, idk what do you guys think?
