I'm a stylist & will be leaving after we buy a house. I'm not sure what my plan is yet, but I know I can't stay there.

This is my list of things they've gotten wrong:

.) Didn't let me put up signage with a list of different appointment options for neurodivergent folx. Even on my own station.

.) Claim that going home early when I have no clients & in pain isn't fair. But a sales girl with bad asthma going home early is fine. (I have fibromyalgia & migraines)

.) There are no separate requirements for a part-time stylist. I'm expected to bring in the same amount as someone full time, without any full time benefits.

.) They're about to start taking more money from stylists. We have commission percentages ranging from 42-70%, now we have to bring in $150 more just to make a lower percentage. (I'll attach a pic of the chart)

.) There are 3 stylist levels; stylist, Master, & Elite. I've been there 5 years with no promotion. I was supposed to promote in Austin, but COVID happened. Then again last fall, but classes were canceled. Now I've tested out of the classes, but they changed the requirements for promotion. Changing from bringing in $1,000 a week to $1300. I work 3-4 days a week & have at least 3 cancelations (or no shows) per week. Chart attached as well.

.) They haven't listened to stylists pleas for a deposit so that we don't have so many no shows/late cancelations.

.) They're all about "being your true self at work", but won't allow us to wear patterns.

.) Don't come to work sick! But there's also a point system in place. 1 point for every call out & at 7 points, you're fired.

.) Stylists are expected to be free labor when we have no clients, even if the store is dead. Christmas Eve 2022 I had no clients, yet wouldn't be making an hourly rate since I already made commission. But i still had to be there 11-6, running myself down to the bone, for free.

.) They don't do anything to keep us safe. Our security guards are a joke & can't do anything anyways. We've been threatened with guns & knives. Fentanyl was being used in our bathroom, lots of others stealing things while on scary drugs. Angry men or thieves posturing at us...etc.
