Hi all, back again, this time to say I’ve finally been started on a prednisone taper and mesalamine .375mg oral tablets. I have been on both since last Thursday. I’m not sure how long I will have to wait for them to start working but it doesn’t appear that either has started working yet. My symptoms continue to get only worse. I am now afraid to get too far from the toilet for fear that I won’t make it, passing huge blood clots and the toilet looks like a massacre when I’m done, and when I’m sitting there I have such severe abdominal pain and it’s so bad that it makes me feel like I’m going to pass out. I’ve considered going to the ER a few times because that’s how bad the pain is but I’m afraid they won’t do anything for me and tbh my doctors office (GI) could care less to answer my calls and answer my questions about what to do so I was hoping someone here had some helpful advice.
