I know this question has been asked several times, and I’ve searched and read previous posts… BUT, have any of you experienced hair loss for what seems like no apparent reason?

I have been in a pretty bad flare since about February. Started Lialda (again) in March, had two 4 week tapers of prednisone, and started Entyvio infusions in May. I am feeling a lot better, blood loss is minimal, and my pain has gone way down.

BUT… over the last month, I’ve started losing my hair. It comes out by the handful in the shower, when I run my fingers through my hair, and when I brush it. The little root bulb is still attached to a lot of the strands, so I don’t think it’s just breaking off (though I have a lot of breakage, too). It’s not super noticeable yet (except around my temples where it’s getting noticeable if you really look at it), but I’m afraid it’s going to be soon. What do I do? I can’t even figure out why it would be falling out unless maybe I’m deficient of some nutrients. I still have basically no appetite. I’m off pred, and Entyvio (supposedly) doesn’t cause hair loss. It wasn’t falling out when I was really sick… it’s now, when I’m starting to finally feel better.

Have any of you dealt with this? What did you do to help?
