There has been alot of speculation around the attack by the freedom legion and now the drone strikes My take on this is that these events are meant to cause chaos in the Russian military command and ruling elite. Now they have worry about reinforcing the border anywhere it meets Ukraine. Its my understanding that there is pretty sizable military base/depot in Belgorod. It took Ru a full day to properly respond to an attack 10 km away from this base. The fact the legion even penetrated into Russia at all has to be shocking. Now Ru either has to ignore this which they can't or reinforce the border. So they choose to reinforce the border but where do the troops come from? Russia cant pull the number of troops needed for this from the front so what then take reserves that are areadly badly needed on the front line...another mobilzation? Now Ukraine has given Russia a huge problem with no easy answer. All this without using single Ukrainian soldier.
Now we come to the drone strikes in Moscow add this to what the freedom legion has accomplished and you can see the bigger picture. Then freedom legion attack showed without a doubt the border is not nearly secured as it was thought to be. These drone attacks show once again without doubt that Russia's capital city isn't even truly secure or safe. Now look at all this though the eyes of a Russian citizen. Your leader is attacking a foreign country yet you're own borders not even you're capital are truly safe.
This past 2 weeks Ukraine has given a masterclass on how to keep your enemy off balance and also making every move have a meaning beyond just gaining ground. Things are not boding well for Russia haven't from the start of the full scale invasion.
