So I'm based in Manchester and last night I started talking to a woman on here, username Donna3456, got her to verify by sending a picture of her holding up some paper with my Reddit username on it (since Reddit doesn't allow for video).

She does it, all seems good, she sends me the street she lives on and she'll give me the house number once I'm there and she'll come outside, fairly standard so far. She asks me to get a bottle of wine on the way, which I do, only once I arrive she then starts asking me to send her money "for security purposes" 🙃.

I'm assuming the strategy here is that I've already sunk time into driving there, buying the wine etc, so I'm more likely to send over the money. I didn't. I told her to go fuck herself and drove home.

Never, never send money before meeting! Thought I'd post this since I've never seen this particular scam before and I'm usually pretty strict with verifications. Be careful out there boys!

If anyone has had some unique scams etc, feel free to share below.
