Dear friends from Reddit.
Recently, many people from Uganda have added me on Instagram asking for resources (mostly money or to pay medical bills). I’ve even tried to support the first one but I reckon Instagram’s algorithm now suggests me to them as suggested contact. As a bloke with not much funds on my own pocket I feel sorry for not being able to help them.
As a software engineer, though, there’s lots I can do. That’s why I’m here today. I’d like to know if there is an affordable way in which a poor citizen of Uganda would be able to receive money from a fundraiser. I have good connections here in Australia, but they’ve asked me for a formal way to send the money. Thus, they can’t just send thru World Remit and the like.
I’m open to different perspectives tho. Keen to hear back from you all.
