Can't use the Microsoft store on Ubuntu

Hey all, new to Linux and I'm just trying to retrieve things from my old PC. I have a digital painting program I like to use and discovered there is an upgrade for it to buy on the windows app store. I go to the app store and when I mouse over the button to buy it, I get a black 🚫 and I can't interact. Is there something I need to download or do to be able to interact? I am logged into my account.
