I've been trying to install Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat for a couple of days with no luck, just error messages during the installation. I've tried both the newest versions (2013/64-bit and XI, respectively) and the ones that are recommended in the winehq appdb (2010/32-bit and X, respectively), with no success. I've tried changing the wineprefix, also with no success. I've posted in the winehq forums but it all seems to take a really long time for the posts to even show up, much less get a response. I could really use some help, even if it's just to point me to a link or a more appropriate venue to pose this question. Thanks!

EDIT: Thanks to /u/zikalify for providing the solution that worked for me, and to everyone else who helped with Office. Acrobat is still an unsolved problem, though, so if future commenters can help me with that, I'd be very grateful.
