After having my five year old HP w/Vista laptop crash several times a week for the last month, I gave up and decided to buy an Asus with Ubuntu installed to save some money (got it for $300 :) ). I was thinking of installing Windows 8 with it, since I can get it for next to nothing through my university, and was wondering what people's experience with trying to upload Windows onto an Ubuntu computer. I can't rely on Ubuntu alone, as my work requires me to use some software that is not compatible with Ubuntu (the TLex Software Suite, in case people are wondering). So if there are people here who have experience installing Windows 8 onto an Ubuntu computer and can give me advice about things to beware of, possible problems, surprising benefits, etc., I'd love your comments.
