The controller in the UDM-Pro is on version 5.14.22 and I've been trying to bump it to 5.14.23. I was actually surprised there was not a way in the 5.14.22 GUI to do the update. When I click the button to check for firmware updates from the maintenance page it says it is checking, but then nothing. I've been looking all over UniFi's forums and their documentation, specifically https://help.ui.com/hc/en-us/articles/220066768-UniFi-How-to-Install-and-Update-via-APT-on-Debian-or-Ubuntu.
I'm still not entirely clear on the process since the controller software is in the UDM-Pro. I SSH'd into the UDM-Pro, but I didn't find the apt/apt-get/dpkg anywhere. How can I upgrade the controller from 5.14.22 to 5.14.23? Thank you sub.
Edit: From the 5.14.23 page there is a "unifi sh api (Shell library)" script. Should this be used in this case?
