Apple Home Sharing - playing nice with VLAN?

Post Body

Hi guys - I've got my UDM Pro set up, linked to a USW-16-POE switch. Set up an IoT VLAN. Mounted behind my TV is a USW Flex Mini. I've set the ports for that Flex Mini to be on the IoT VLAN.

I have my TiVO and Apple TV plugged into that USW Flex Mini. They all have IP addresses from the IoT VLAN. I have mDNS on and UPnP off.

I also set up the "DenyNewTrafficFromIoTtoPrivate" firewall rule as suggested here by Rob Pickering.

I was shocked to find that Airplay works flawlessly - I can Airplay from my iMac (on the non-IoT LAN) straight to the VLAN'd Apple TV. I can also use my iPhone "remote" app and control the Apple TV.

However, unless I disable the aforementioned firewall rule, Apple "home sharing" does not work. I sometimes stream videos from my iMac to the Apple TV (from the Apple TV menu -> "Computers"). With the firewall rule on, the Apple TV cannot connect to my iMac. With the firewall rule off, the Apple TV will stream from my iMac.

Is there a simple/easy firewall rule to fix this? My searches have, thus far, been fruitless.

Thanks in advance. All of you in this sub have been frickin' awesome - far better than the UI community IMO.
