Ubiquity Power Amp vs Bose Lifestyle

At the title suggests, I wonder how they compare. Obviously the Power Amp will win hands down on modern tech but what about sound quality, which to me is most important. Or is the Power Amp more like a Bluetooth speaker setup?
I ask as I have a Bose Lifestyle II and 20 years down the lines it’s going strong and sounding amazing but when it goes I’ll wonder what I’m buying next.
