Have experimented with an AF 5XHD link that I would like to use when setting up a wireless bridge between a mast located on shore and a fishing boat that can travel up to 20km out.
On the boat, I have constructed a turnable "table" with a plastic shelter containing one side of the link. It uses a GPS to figure out in which direction the dish antenna should point.
The setup works really well, but for various reasons I would like to swap the old Wi-Gi link I've used before and use ubnt instead. When doing this, I run in to problems with link stability and that the actual link is lost when trying the 5XHD equipment.
I wonder if someone knows what the issue could be? I have verified it's not DFS related. Have tried various channel sizes, TDMA confi, frame rates etc. It works perfectly fine as long as both sides are not moving, but as soon as the boat is in motion it fails. Any ideas, suggestions or insights why this is?
