Previous set up is a:

UDR —-> UAPAC PRO UCKG2Plus => 2cameras

By the way if any interested parties DM me and I can put it up at homelab sales… UDR is about 7months old and the UCKG2 has a 4TB drive (currently About 5 months of space with 2 cameras recording 10sec before and after Events.

Current issue is my apartment setup is linear and location of FiOS ingress would place the UDM Pro in a spot that needs POE (there is a USW-8 for that) and making part of the change I go from 6(2 4POE) I go down to 4. I have another POE switch USW-Flex but it relies on a port.

The only solution I see with out doing another long Ethernet connection is the following using a single Cat5e since it’s 1GB (bidirectional, correct?). Maybe a VLan?

Basically passing the internet to the UDM first before providing access to the rest of the network.

FiOS ==> USW-8 <=> POE AC-Pro <=> UDM Pro

                   ||=> POE AP
                   v
                   USW Flex => (3) G4 camera (1) POE AP

My other option is extend the line all the way to the UDM but still would need a line back to the USW8 where the ingress still physically passes by the USW8. I could swap USW8 and UDM locations but would still need POE at UDM and port injectors won’t power a USW Flex plugged into the UDM in order to connect 3 cameras and an AP.
