Is it just me or does the recent push to "UniFi OS Consoles" seem like they are slowly moving towards the home user base and SMB. Rather than catering to MSP's and those with larger and more complicated installs. And with the release of the Cloud Console I feel like they are only still supporting the self-hosted version because it would be a horrible business decision for them to otherwise stop supporting DIY.
They still make great products (when they're in sock) but I can't not feel like they're going to fuck me over one day. (Frog in a pot of boiling water is a good analogy here). To those that they're catering towards now, which seems to be home users, it won't matter. But to those who currently use their enterprise wireless and switching will be sent off with two giant middle fingers (I suppose)... As of now I'm looking into other products such as Alta Labs once they come out with their self-hosted controller. I hope to be proven wrong here by UI, but I'm not so sure.
