Hello everyone,
I'm currently trying to set up my network so that certain devices route through a WireGuard VPN on a GL.iNet Brume 2 (MT2500), while the rest of the devices connect directly to the internet via my UniFi Dream Machine Pro (UDM Pro). I've been having a bit of difficulty and I would really appreciate any help or guidance.
Here's the current state of things:
The Brume 2 has been set up with a static IP (10.42.71.220) in the UDM Pro's network.
I've attempted to set the Brume 2's WAN port to the static IP, but I'm not sure if this is the correct approach.
I've enabled WireGuard on the Brume 2 and set up VPN policies so that all processes on the router do not use the VPN (i.e., only the devices that I want to route through the VPN will use it).
I've tried connecting both the WAN and LAN ports of the Brume 2 to the UDM Pro, but I'm not sure if this is the correct setup.
Here are the issues I'm encountering:
I'm having trouble accessing the Brume 2's admin interface via the static IP. I can only access the interface when connected directly to the Brume 2's WiFi network.
I can't seem to assign a static IP to the Brume 2 via the UDM Pro's UniFi Controller. The usual method of assigning a static IP to a client doesn't seem to work for the Brume 2.
My ultimate goal is to have certain devices on my network (identified by their MAC addresses or IPs) automatically route their internet traffic through the WireGuard VPN on the Brume 2, while all other devices connect directly to the internet via the UDM Pro.
Any guidance or help would be greatly appreciated. Please let me know if you need any more information or if anything is unclear.
Thank you in advance!
