Anyone else with Pixel 7 experiencing driver app bug when turning off "Display over other apps"?

I recently got a Pixel 7 Pro and I'm finding that when I disable display over other apps the driver app will then force the trip info screen to open and stay in the partially open/raised state, if that makes sense? You know when you swipe up to see trip/order info and it has a partially open or fully open state. Basically it's forced partially open and I can't get rid of it or fully open it, it just snaps back. It interferes with viewing navigation unfortunately.

Being forced to keep display over apps on is truly cursed.
