Hi all, I’m new here. I’ve been thinking about doing UberEats as supplemental income for a while now. I just have some questions about it first.
Is it worth it? I work retail right now and I’m getting worn out. I figured that maybe it’s time for a change. I know no matter where you work the company is screwing you but I figured not having to deal with customers as directly would be better?
How do your taxes work? Does Uber send you a W2? Or is it like a 1099 form? I’m in California if that helps any.
In relation to my last question, since I would be using my car for work, would I be able to write off any maintenance on my car as a work expense?
Any other information that you wish you would have had would be great to know as well. Thanks!
