so i was tip baited. how do i proceed?

got offered a trip, $25 for 15 miles. took it because it was going to be my last order of the night. customer texted me while picking up giving me drop-off directions and was very nice. delivery went off without a hitch. 2 hours later and i have no tip, only paid $8.47 by uber. i called uber support and they informed me the customer took off the tip which i almost refuse to believe. should i ask for a supervisor? what do i say to the supervisor to get the rest of my money?
