I’ve heard many people say it is pointless to set a minimum rate, that I’ll waste my time waiting for rides, that everyone else (the other drivers out there) won’t get onboard.
I have news for you. You don’t need the other drivers to get onboard for this to be effective. If other drivers did, it would only be easier. It’s slow right now because it’s cold and snowy/rainy, but tonight I drove for almost exactly 6 hours, a little less to be exact, and I made $266. That’s over $42/hr. I simply do not accept rides for less than a $30/hr rate. It isn’t hard. Accepting low fares hurts you; it doesn’t help you.
