I’ll keep it brief but essentially I’m a low-income student that recently got accepted into UVA. I want to rush but I’m not sure if there is a point as I’ve heard that many of the fraternities are highly expensive. On one hand I don’t know if I’ll be able to afford the cost, but on the other I’m worried about social life, considering the huge percentage of Greek life, and networking that I will miss out on if I don’t join. If you or someone you know has had this experience I would be thankful if you could illuminate me on how it shaped the decisions you took.
