I accidentally accepted my offer to UVA

I was not mentally prepared to accept my offer yet as I have not received information on scholarships. I accepted it partially by accident, I just wanted to see what would happen I guess? (I know, that was a dumb decision on my part.) If I don’t pay the deposit and end up not going, will the affect me negatively? Like if I were to apply again in a year or even to another uni, would that be a problem?
