Would it be silly to take "easy" summer cc classes when I already pay tuition here?

Post Body

I originally had this plan to take an EMT class at my local cc this summer, but since then I've decided not to do it there. So, because I was already registered as a summer student there and didn't have the heart to withdraw, I put intro to sociology on my schedule. I haven't had the chance to take it at UVA due to schedule conflicts and whatnot, but it sounded like a really interesting and fun class to fill my schedule.

The one thing about this plan is that I'd be paying out of pocket for this one class, which comes out to ~$700. And, when my penny-pinching mind ponders this plan at the dead of night, I wonder if it's silly to do this when I could just try and take it at UVA, since I'm already paying tuition here. I'd be more than willing to take a cool class over the summer but maybe it's a bad financial decision.

As you can see, I am not confident in my reasoning capabilities. Any advice?

Some factors at play here include me being oos and possibly prehealth, sociology fulfills a gen ed here that I've already completed with another course, and the cc course transfers back to UVA as SOC 1010 credit.

Thanks in advance for any help. Finals season is frying brains everywhere, including mine.
