Be ready for road closures, delayed openings, limited terrain, wind holds, and frigid wind chills. The winds are absolutely cranking in upper LCC currently, and the NWS indicated that they could still increase later this afternoon into the evening (gusts of 125mph are possible, which is category 3 hurricane levels). Plus a lot of snow over the next few days.
Make your own choices, but if you decide to deal with the road, have reasonable expectations of what you're getting yourselves into.
