I’m a new RCA and I’m on my second week. I have have been working 7am - 5:30 about 5 days a week (not including Amazon Sunday). I hadn’t actually finished the whole route without help until yesterday when I left the office at 11am and got back at 5:30. This was the first time I actually did A-C cases without other RCA help. I’m doing the best I can and I’m really getting my route down, but everyone else is HOURS faster than me. My supervisor seems kinda annoyed it’s taking me so long and I kinda feel like a failure. I really like this job, I just hate everyone being so much faster than me. I feel like I’m slacking.
Also how does payment work? My supervisor mentioned she’s splitting the route between me and the other RCA’s who helped, but I thought I was being payed hourly for the first three or so paychecks (through the new contract). Both the postmaster and supervisor said that’s not the case. Am I really spending 10 hours a day working to get paid for 6 or so? Any help or advice would be really appreciated.
