Question about USPS tracking terminology... Scheduled delivery date vs expected delivery date

Post Body

So in the past, tracking usually stated the delivery date by saying "Expected delivery by xx/xx". I've also realized that USPS would consistently state the expected delivery as a day after it was actually delivered, for instance I would receive a package on 11/13 although the expected delivery date was 11/14.

So I'm tracking this package: https://tools.usps.com/go/TrackConfirmAction?tLabels=9470103699300034994479

It is saying that the SCHEDULED delivery date is on Jan 2 although it has departed my destination facility, which typically means I receive the package the following day. Is this just merely a change in terminology or will I actually receive my package on Tuesday when its "scheduled"? Thanks!

EDIT: aaaaand it has JUST updated saying that it has arrived at my post office.
