Attacked by dogs

Post Body

Good morning fam, I was delivering a package as normally when two big dogs stormed out the door. They circled me a few times and one of them bites my foot. Luckily my shoes caught the bite. The owner couldn’t get control of his dogs. I love dogs but I never been so terrified in my life. You see it on movies when dogs circle their prey. I just stop there not making a move because those dogs should’ve tore me apart. I reported the incident. I already suffer from anxiety due to my PTSD. I also thought about resigning because I didn’t sign up to be attacked by dogs. I already have mental health appt with the VA tomorrow. I had a nightmare last night about those damn dogs circling me. Is there a way for me to request some time off? I’ve been working with those PO for some time now and this is the first time it happened to me. I’m really messed up over this. I didn’t sign up to get attached by dogs. I always knew that it could happen but until it actually happens does then it’s different. I guess my question is what’s my next step and does the PO offer mental health services. I use my VA healthcare and Tricare. I also never called out of work since I started almost two yrs ago. So I guess this is my breaking point. I can’t believe I’m ready to resign over some damn dogs. Not the workload but dogs. I’m just venting guys.

Ive been bit once. I keep a 7 inch steel spike in my hair. It hasn't happened again. People are surprisingly quicker to get control of their animal now than before.
