USPS Career path for a laborer custodial?

Post Body

Hi everyone. I just accepted this position and have orientation soon. I applied for this position because of the schedule (5am - 130pm) and I’m reading a lot in this sub that janitor positions are apparently highly sought after?

I have a main career in real estate so this role worked well with that schedule, and I applied for the job as I am currently going through a divorce and the benefits of the post office have always been rumored to be “really good” but apparently as a career employee they’re even better?

I’m very very new to the USPS so did I get super lucky getting this role or are people overhyping it?

Either or, grateful to have this role and start this next chapter of life. Any and all advice is welcomed!
