City regular that just converted. Everyone came up to me today asking me "what are you going to do on your long weekend coming up"? Totally confused I just kinda brushed it off. After about the 4th regular asking this question I responded "what are you talking about I have Friday and Sunday off"? They said "no you have Friday, Saturday and Sunday off". They explained to me that when you have Friday off the next week you have Saturday off so since the next week starts on Saturday you get the entire weekend off.
Here is the issue. This weekend doesn't do anything for me off. I was under the impression I had off Saturday and Sunday next weekend. I have 13 people going camping and I've already paid for everything. I've been with the post office for a year and have only called in 1 time. Lol opening day fishing my dad and I went out. Other than that perfect attendance.
So I have to call in at least Saturday next week but how many days can I call in without needing a doctor's note? If I'm going to call in I might as well make it a long weekend. So if I call in Thursday, Friday and Saturday on Wednesday night will I need a doctor's note when I come back to work on Tuesday?
