I was hired as an RCA and have orientation on July 27. I'm already having doubts about the job. I can buy a POV, but vehicles now are so expensive that I won't see a return on investment for a long time. When you could find a decent car under 2k it probably made sense but in today's market it's a HUGE ask. My post master was adamant I find a POV a month after being hired.
It's such a huge ask considering I'm on probation for 90 working days, I have to pay for my own insurance, spend 5000 on something OK-ish, and get a pitiful 90 something cents a mile. I'm not even a career employee! In my opinion you either pay more or you offer more benefits for me using my own POV.
