Please Help.
I’m reaching out because I need some help, advice, guidance, anything. Sorry this might get long, but there a lot to unpack on this one.
Let’s start from the beginning with some information and background. I’m 30 , in September. Last July I went in to get my ged. I work as a foreman for my company. And have no criminal background. I went to Meps last August, took the ASVAB /med exam. Passed with a 71, 110gt. And cleared med with flying colors. Started running, eating better, and lifting weights. So everything was clear except my forearm tattoo. When that changed in December, I was 29 , and pushed me into a age waiver. I work a lot and we were in the last bit of paperwork and now everything has changed.
My tattoos , according to the FBI, are no longer permissible. 3 Roman numerals with 1776 and 13 stars, a rifle with molon labe under it. And my packet was kicked back. I’m not a radical, or even all that political, I thought I was a American and a patriot. But I guess that’s all changing.
Now I’m faced with choice. Do I cover them up, or move on. There not telling me or even suggesting it. The recruiters are all upset in the office that I’ve come this far for a “no”.
For me, it’s like this, I’ve come to far to give up now. Or Im abandoning my principal beliefs for what… Just asking for some advice, helpful advice. Please.
