Post Body

A little back story I tried to join back in 2017-2018 got PDQ'd and didnt recieve my waiver, that sucked but I didnt lose motivation. Now in 2020 I heard from a buddies recruiter that he wanted to try again so at the end of last year I went to MEPS got PDQ'd again(shocker). And my recruiter was like hey lets get you a waiver, so started that process and didnt hear from him for like 8 months and then 1 day he called and said "hey man, we got it" and I couldnt believe it. My dream was finally coming true.

So fast forward till august of this year and I got to MEPS and swear in and was overcome with emotion and started thinking about getting my affairs in order. I ran the IST at the office and passed all events. And my recruiter had told me that I was most likely shipping in january so i felt I had time, but when I talked to the CO he said he needed someone in january to swap to october( he didnt force or coerce) so he asked me if I wanted to go, in said yes.

Now im 21 i have a life and a job and a serious girlfriend, and im still moto and wanting to go. Hell my recruiter offered me a spot to go next week and would have had I not had to still got some things in order. But late at night or early in the morning I do have some doubts which I have read are normal and they are easily overcome, it just want to know what to expect at boot camp and the fleet. I am going in as a 03xx contract and plan on just a 0311.

Sorry about the long post but any little bit helps
