Hello, I am 19 years old. I recently decided I wanted to enlist because I am not enjoying college and want to join and experience a brother and bond as close as the Marine Corps. One problem. Through my high school sports career I sustained a shoulder injury that required surgery. I had a torn labrum and bone chipped off my ball joint. The doctors were skeptical of whether I would ever regain full mobility and/or be able to live day to day with chronic shoulder pain. However, it has been a year since my injury and I have regained full mobility with zero pain. I lost about 20 pounds of muscle weight due to my forced hiatus from exercise for approx. 9 months. Since my clearance to workout again, I have been slowly but surely been putting on the pounds and building strength. I went to the recruiter in early January and I believe he sent my file to MEPS about Jan. 5-7. (No I did not lie about my shoulder). My question pertains to the wait. It has been exactly two months since my recruiter supposedly sent my documents to MEPS. He says there is a 60 day window for the doctors to review my file. Does this mean business days or 60 days in general? Is there a set deadline where they need to get back to me? Would love to hear others thought who may have had a similar situation or know something about the issue. Thanks
