Hey, as the title infers I've had an injury. To give context for an informed answer, I had broken my femur back in July and I had to get a rod placed through it while I was in the DEP and one of the recruiters at my station had to medically discharge me. I still wanna be a marine, but I've felt that I had lost hope. My uncle and the doctor I had told me that i had to heal a minimum of 6 months and then get checked out by a DoD doctor before I was able to enlist again and I was wondering if it was true or not with a titanium rod in my femur
Edit: I'm aware what I rambled about in the comments hasn't happened for the longest time and most likely won't happen in the near future. It's just how I felt stated with what little knowledge I have. Also I originally just wanted some hope because joining the corps was my only plan that was supposed to last me for the next eight years. Now what I want help with is getting advice on how to hone my body back into a reasonable standard. I can almost run again. I just need a few weight bearing exercises that will help me gain back the muscle I have lost from being sedentary after surgery... anything will be much appreciated. Thank you for all of y'all's help
