Choosing a Mental Health Provide Outside the VA

Post Body

Hello you motivators and even you skaters!!!

I have a question about my VA disability benefits when choose where to get my mental health care.

In short, I don't want to have my care at the VA for a few reasons. Mostly because televisits suck and it's a long drive for me to get to the local VA hospital and I simply don't have the time to drive back and forth between work, life, etc. Nothing new to the group here I'm sure.

I'm new to trying to get my care with the VA and have heard that we are now able to choose an outside provider and have the financials billed from the private provide and sent to the VA for billing. Then bill me directly for any outstanding balance due.

In short: How do I specify to the VA that I want this person as my provider? What paper forms or electronic forms do I need to file?

Thanks in advance for help you glorious bastards.
