I’m just sitting here and thinking back to when I was a mechanic for Ford (after I got out) and how it was the height of the Takata airbag recalls. For a few months I was changing out an airbag about 2-3xs a week for a few months. And the anxiety that would come over me when I’d have to pull them out (especially when they’d hang up and I’d have to yank and jerk them around with a screw driver also sitting right there on top of them) was absolutely insane and I’d have some serious sweaty pits and forehead drips happening.
Anyways, it made me think about EOD. I never knew anyone in the MOS but all I can say is, handling something that could blow up in your face sucks… especially when it’s your job and can literally kill you right then and there. Fuck that!
More power to ya 2336’s.
