Advice for young marines working the ball.

I worked a ball and loved it. Myself and another Lcpl were put in charge of checking coats for marines and their ladies. Twenty minutes in we were asked by a crusty old devil where our tip jar was and we just kinda 1,000 yard blank stared at this gunner. He then dumped a flower vase threw a 20 in it and told us to enjoy our evening. Man we made so much cash that night. Anyways if you find yourself in the same post put a tip jar out.
