I totally agree with you...
Like in theory I'm patriotic as fuck. I love America. I would fight defending America. But in all reality, the idea of America that I believe doesn't exist...
I have absolutely zero respect for the military. I respect the soldiers as men, but not any more than the average Joe next door who installs pipe for a living...
Who joins the military for noble reasons? No one is "volunteering". They get plenty of benefits. And you just have to follow orders.
I'll respect the military when I see it actually stand for something. I'll respect the military when I see soldiers actually refuse to take up arms in an unjust war...
