Probably late to the game finding out about this but trying to get more info. Due to the big deal of shutting down 3G network I just assumed it was to get rid of all non smart phones or very old cell phones and bring everyone current gen with the network and phones in circulation. However I was told by a wireless retail associate the other day that CDMA network is shutting down entirely and all cell carriers in the US will be operating on the GSM Network. It makes sense why carriers have been rolling out more affordable 5G devices and more promos on 5G phones. Why is CDMA shutting down I just thought everything before 4G wasn't gonna work anymore but it's more than that. Let's talk about it, anyone with more info please drop a comment below
