Post Body

Hi there—

I am sponsoring my wife for her green card. We sent in the packet 89 days ago , her work permit was approved in 3 weeks but everything else is still pending. I feel we made a great packet with lots of evidence, all necessary docs , etc

Their is one major concern I have and that is the three prior years of disclosed income:

2021 - Under poverty line due to out of work 2022- Under again due to being out of work 2023- plenty above the poverty line as work resumed —Current income way above poverty line

I sent tax transcripts for all 3 years ( I know only the previous year is required) and 6 months of current paystubs showing proof of having plentiful steady income.

Will the 2021 and 2022 years hurt me?

DO NOT TELL ME TO GET A LAWYER, THIS QUESTION IS FOR THOSE WITH EXPERIENCE AND/OR FOLKS WITH CONCRETE KNOWLEDGE

Thank you!
