How does the loss of previous status happen when you get a green card? If LPR status is rescinded (due to a technicality, through no fault of your own and without prejudice), do you automatically revert to the previous status (specifically, asylum), or do you need to take any steps to gain it back? Can anyone point me to sections of the law governing this process? Thanks!
