So I applied for N-400 in May this year.
No interview scheduled so far, it's beginning to worry me.
Then I felt even worse when I see other cases approved in 3-4 months.
But then I realized, hey, it's apples to oranges.
Family-based and employment-based Green Cards can't be compared to asylum Green Cards.
Their A-files are a lot simpler.
Mine had a history of:
- Deportation proceedings
- ICE detention
- Defensive asylum grant at immigration court
My question is, how long does it usually take to process an N-400 application that's -- for lack of a better word -- complicated?
Anyone else had experience with similar circumstances?
All right.
Do you mind sharing which field office is yours?

Okay, that's reassuring.
But was yours affirmative asylum (applied with USCIS) or defensive asylum (granted by immigration judge)?
Update:
I finally got my interview scheduled today (11/1) for 12/13.
Thanks for your words of encouragement!
