I submitted on 16 May based on 5-year rule (Los Angeles field office), receipt block IOE929184XXXX (90-day early filing).
Biometrics taken 31 May.
Been "actively reviewing" since, with no interview in sight.
It's October now.
Whatever it is, I'm sure my case isn't moving "fast."
USCIS estimated processing time says 6 months, but we all know that number is BS.
Should I be worried that my case is stuck in limbo somewhere?
My interview just got scheduled yesterday, for mid-December.
Thanks for reassuring me that I was almost at the finish line.
You were right.
Whatever happens with your immigration case, I really hope your daughter feels better.
Hey man, how was your interview?
I just got my interview schedule notice today (5.5 months from filing) for December.
Damn bro.
I hope you hear from them soon.
Which field office is yours?
Good luck man!
I hope you get a same-day oath.
Ah okay.
So basically, the more complex the A-file, the fewer qualified ISOs there are to review my A-file.
I guess I'll just have to sit back and wait then.
I wish I procured my Green Card under simpler circumstances, but things were very different back then, and defensive asylum was my only option to even stay on in the US.
Also, are you saying that they need time to get my individual files from all the agencies I've had contact with?
E.g. ICE, CBP, DoJ EOIR Court, etc.
That's what's holding up the show?
Okay, good to know.
But how do you know all this?
the wave of approvals is only a few numbers away from our number
I mean, do those things really matter?
I don't think there's a major correlation between the nearby numbers and your own case, though I might be wrong.
Thank you for your reassurance.
Do you mind sharing which field office this is?
Do you mind sharing what field office did she file under?
I keep hearing that LA field office is moving fast, I guess I just don't feel it.
I hope you're right.
What field office, if you don't mind sharing?
Uncommon name and even more uncommon country of origin.
Case history might be complex too, with a record of removal proceedings that's stopped by a grant of asylum in an immigration court.
Does that matter?
Problem is I've seen many N-400 timeline posts here that are finished within 3-4 months, some even within 2 months.

This was also what worried me.
Like I'm being left behind or something.
It blows my mind that some people can file months after me and still have their case approved faster than me.
It's like there's no order or system to this, and it's all completely random.
