*not sure which flair is appropriate * I’m not sure if this is the proper sub for this. In 2011 my father(permanent resident)was deported back to Mexico after serving 5 years in US prison. He was told he had to do 5 years probation in Mexico and after could try for reentry. And that his family could write letters to try to get him back into the US. At the time I had just turned 18, and had stopped speaking to him out of pain and anger. In the recent months we’ve began speaking again, and I want to do whatever I can to help him. Is it too late to write letters of support? How to even begin the re entry process? Also- uscis website is a pain to navigate, but is that where I should be looking to access his records-if there is one? My dad asked why they would have records of it but I say why WOULDNT they?
