Hello,
I'm a student in a STEM department, within Dornsife. I've had nothing but negative interactions and impressions of our current Undergraduate Studies Director. I know there are personalities in this world that are just mean, but I feel this man has no regard for the students of our department, and, sure, he has his credentials as a scientist, but I'm not sure why he's in a leadership position. And, please, do not answer me with some bs of "there are different types of leaders" - regardless of the type, I know for a fact that this man is not interested in the students success or future. Our program hasn't changed during my last 3.5 years here, and change is something which I feel we could benefit from. What is the role of a Director of Undergraduate Studies?
