USAA CAR INSURANCE

I keep seeing bad reviews about how terrible it is , I saw how it cheap the average annual rates are for this year. I have new car, no ticket or accident. I plan on calling later but would like to hear your own experience with USAA. Any thoughts on their car insurance?

I couldn't agree more! Something has gone drastically wrong there. They didn't used to be this terrible. Customer service is absolutely nightmare. They lost my car. They left a certified mail unopened for over 30 days and so we had to resign. They took 2 weeks to give me the check Allstate (the agency accepting responsibility for my accident)gave them to settle. Due to the length of time they took, Allstate said they wouldn't cover my full rental because USAA should've given me the check the next day. Usaa even AGREED, but said they couldn't reimburse me due to me not having rental car coverage (the accident wasn't my fault so I shouldn't have had to use my coverage)
I also have had the experience from conversations with both a rental company and an autobody shop saying they have terrible experiences with USAA. In fact, the autobody shop is thinking about not accepting anymore vehicles if they are being paid with USAA and they said that's the first time they would have ever banned an insurance company.
10 years ago, I would've sang their praises. Something has gone seriously wrong in recent years.
