Dream machine and cloud key

Im looking at getting a few unifi cameras iv already got a dream machine(can type) which doesnt support protect so i was looking at getting a cloud key gen 2 ethier 2nd hand or two my worry is as they are both controllers i wont be able to manage the cloud key under the dream router it will have to be separate anyone have any experience before i waste my money
