Hello. I'm really hoping someone here might have an opinion on this.
My ex-husband left me this system and it worked wonderfully at our old home but at my new home it's been rather unreliable. He set it up through the advice he found here years ago so maybe it's common??
Recently I had a person over who swore and swore that they knew what they were doing only to leave me worse off than I was and I really don't want to give it up knowing what it can do.
Equipment I have: USG-3P, going to a UAP-AC-lite and two UAP-AC-M.
Sometimes a device just won't connect. I've been told it's a "DNS" thing and almost always turning the closest device off/on will fix the problem. Usually happens about twice a month that I need to do this.
Reception isn't great. I have a 3,000sq ft. home and reception was much better on the router that my ISP loaned me. I live on the outskirts of town and I've had two people with apps tell me that I have very little noise out here. Forgive me but I don't know the apps or really much about what they were talking about.
I have been told by a few people that swear that they know this stuff that it's because my channels are all bunched together. I don't know what that means.
I have
on my "Main" UAP-AC-Lite:
2.4GHz - Width: HT20, Channel:Auto, Power:Auto, RSSI OFF.
5GHz - Width:VHT40, Channel:Auto, Power:HIG, Meshing:Auto, RSSI:ON and at -67 db, Interference Blocker:OFF
The two UAP-AC-M different than Main:
- Transmit Power: Auto, RSSI on for 2.4 and 5ghz.
I ran the channel tool a while ago and nothing changed from what I could tell. I would really like to extend my range and not have to restart them so often if possible.
Thank you in advance!
